Weekend adventure: Camping under the new moon in Death Valley National Park

My second trip to Death Valley National Park. It's enchanting even when it's not filled with wildflowers.

If we weren't cold and exhausted by the time we found a campsite, set up the tent, and ate dinner, we would have done some astrophotography. I can't do the night sky justice; we saw several meteors fly across the darkest sky I have ever seen.

What I did photograph: Searles Valley | old fire truck at Stovepipe Wells | Ubehebe Crater | Teakettle Junction | Racetrack Playa | Harmony Borax Works | Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes | Fossil Falls

I also read plenty of Les Mis chapters while huddled under blankets in the tent. Updates on that coming soon.
